From the warehouse floor in 2009 to a formalized solo operator practice in 2020 — the full timeline of how I built the expertise that clients now hire me to embed into their operations.

Every line on the timeline below represents real operational work — inside warehouses, inside logistics networks, inside fulfillment centers, inside the systems that make e-commerce run. The Polito Group didn’t start in 2020. It crystallized in 2020, after more than a decade of hands-on operations work for brands across DTC, B2B, and hybrid fulfillment models. I decided to formalize as a solo operator practice on purpose — because the single-expert model is what consistently delivers the outcomes clients care about.

2009

My operations career begins

Warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations — hands-on work inside real supply chains serving DTC and B2B brands. The foundation of everything I do today was laid on warehouse floors, not in conference rooms.

2013

E-commerce operations specialization

As Shopify and multi-channel retail scaled nationally, I began specializing in DTC and B2B e-commerce operational infrastructure. Early exposure to ShipStation, carrier APIs, and the integration layer between storefronts and fulfillment.

2017

Full systems stack specialization

Deep expertise established across WMS, OMS, and IMS — Shopify Plus builds, ShipStation automation, Extensiv implementation, and 3PL integrations for high-growth brands at scale. The shift from executing single-platform work to architecting full, vertically integrated operational stacks.

2020

The Polito Group founded

I formalized 10+ years of operational expertise into a dedicated solo operator practice offering fractional COO services, Shopify Plus development, supply chain optimization, and custom solution development. Deliberately solo — because one expert with full context beats an agency with account managers every time.
